C. Johansson, who had already proven his capabilities with bands like Karnarium and Pagan Rites, filled in the drum-position, and the Danish/swedish line-up was complete. Thus Cerekloth was born in early 2008. After just a few rehearsals in Copenhagen and Gothenburg the band went to Error Studios to record its first release - the “Pandemonium Prayers” 7’’ep for the Swedish death metal label Blood Harvest. In spring 2009 the band parted ways with guitarist H.Engkjaer and drummer C.Johansson . New replacements were found in the shape of M.Adsersen (ex Crucifix) on guitars and Nis Larsen (Strychnos / ex Usipian) on drums. In April of 2011 this line up recorded an album teaser in the form of an EP entitled “Halo of Syringes”. This EP will be out in 7”EP / CD format Via Hells headbangers in June 2011.
Currently the band is working hard on completing material for the debut full length album also to be unleashed via Hells Headbangers. Live shows this year at Metal magic festival 4 and Kill-Town Deathfest 2 went beyond all expectations. The band has parted it's ways with C. Nørgaard and M. Leth is now the Cerekloth-legion's bassplayer.
