According to a lot of sources, Desolator was formed in Olsztyn in 1990. In fact the band was founded in 1989 by Marek "Kościej" Makosiej (g./voc.) and Arek "Jasiu" Jankowski (dr.) as a grindcore band. In the meantime they discovered bands such as Benediction, Bolt Thrower or Morbid Angel. After some personnel changes, they started playing death metal (in late spring/early summer 1990).
