Red Moon Architect is a melodic doom metal band originating from Finland’s gloomiest town, Kouvola. Their debut album ‘Concealed Silence’ saw the daylight in October 2012 and was greeted with excitement among metal fans all around the world. Red Moon Architect’s second album ’Fall’ was released in March 2015 via Playground Music. They have since gained a strong following in the metal community and have performed at Finland’s legendary Tuska Festival and played shows with Finland’s top metal acts such as Amorphis, Moonsorrow, Barren Earth and Wolfheart.

Red Moon Architect’s strength is diversity. The music is very dark and slow doom metal with strong guitars and low grunts but appeals to a wider audience with strong melodies and beautiful female vocals. Diversity is also behind the story of the band. One could imagine the band’s songwriter and drummer Saku Moilanen is the gloomiest guy in his hometown Kouvola but anyone who’s met him would probably disagree: “The bleakness is just inside my head and Red Moon Architect’s music is the way other people can have a peek what is going on behind the face of the nice guy,” Moilanen ponders.
