After their first EP from 2009, “let’s leave before this place thaws”, Polish quartet released a follow-up to their well-received debut in underground scene, an EP named ‘Chimera’ released in late 2010.
This record proves a notable development in band’s sound towards more sludgy regions of post rock-metal territory, with longer compositions, more somber feel and climactic crescendos. Currently Entropia works on their first longplay incorporating elements of modern black metal into their canonic post metal sound.
Entropia's debut LP 'Vesper' out in February 2013!
'Vesper' is the name of the first longplay of the band Entropia, hailing from Oleśnica, Poland, scheduled for release in late February 2013. The album itself is composed of six tracks, almost fifty minutes in lenght. With Vesper Entropia is detaching itself from its post-metal origins to explore the depths of black metal blasts accompanied with post-rock sensitivity and etherealness of shoegaze. Entropia shared the stage, amongst others, with Altar of Plagues from Ireland, and 2013 will bring many more exciting news to come. Jakub Mańkowski, a Fryderyk prize nominee and producer of Behemoth, Blindead and Obscure Sphinx was the sound engineer responsible for the Vesper's sound. The visuals were created by Marcin Gadomski from Upgrade Design Studio (www.facebook.com/upgradestudiopl). Vesper will be released as a limited digi-pack manufactured by 8merch in a number of 200 and will be available for sale at http://entropia.8merch.com/.
