| 1. Moonlight Painted on the Waves 01:44 instrumental
2. Separation 07:46
Apart,
No place here,
Rejection of the blind congregation,
Detestable delusion
Draped in impenetrable grey,
No part of this,
Solitude bears a knife and cuts the throat of contentment
Immersed in waves of |
|
The immense tide of misery,
I cannot remain
Despondency,
The rope around the neck of satisfaction
Drawn into the void,
The consoling darkness of the empty, dark room
I withdraw
3. Winter Grey 06:20
Drifting out to sea,
The night is all I see,
In moonlight I depart,
Comfort in my heart
Eroded by the tide,
I swallow my pride,
And gaze into the sky,
Freed from all their lies
Cloaked in winter grey,
This shall be my final day,
I draw my parting breath
And now embrace this death
4. Within These Walls: Part I 06:38
Tender waves caress frail structures of my creation,
I found shelter in these fragile walls,
I walk along these barren plains in solitude,
Protected from all they have, i crave
The microcosmos, my existence,
The impenetrable calm, though lifeless, worthless
Cursed by my creation, please tell me,
Is this my damnation?
The storm instils fear to my core,
A fear of anything meaningful,
A fear of everything pure
For I can only walk within these walls,
Sheltered from the rain,
For I can only walk within these walls,
Though I walk in pain
If I could only cross the borderline,
And set myself free,
But the landscape is foreboding,
These walls will be the death of me
Will the storm corrode this towering divide?
Release me from this cage,
Enslaved internally, I wonder,
Am I trapped eternally?
5. Within These Walls: Part II 05:31
Tender waves caress frail structures of my creation,
I found shelter in these fragile walls,
I walk along these barren plains in solitude,
Protected from all they have, i crave
The microcosmos, my existence,
The impenetrable calm, though lifeless, worthless
Cursed by my creation, please tell me,
Is this my damnation?
The storm instils fear to my core,
A fear of anything meaningful,
A fear of everything pure
For I can only walk within these walls,
Sheltered from the rain,
For I can only walk within these walls,
Though I walk in pain
If I could only cross the borderline,
And set myself free,
But the landscape is foreboding,
These walls will be the death of me
Will the storm corrode this towering divide?
Release me from this cage,
Enslaved internally, I wonder,
Am I trapped eternally?
6. Day Breaks Over Calm Water 03:44 instrumental
7. To Build a Monument 07:43
Thankful for this,
We’ll have this come death,
The bright light that penetrates the dark,
For this I have lived
Each day another notch,
Another inch towards the end,
The nothingness calls my name,
But we drown out the sound
To numb the pain
And console my being,
Take me from this place,
Escape to another plane
An expression projected into the void
Life is so short,
When the children die,
I realise,
Time is passing me by
8. Departure 07:05
Drowning in darkness,
All left behind,
Floating through nothingness,
I depart this forsaken world
The book remains firmly closed,
For I know where I will go,
At one with my true self,
I depart
