Не совсем понял «наезд» в предыдущем отзыве, но на вкус и цвет, как говориться...
На современной металической сцене царит тишь да гладь: альбомы выходят, музыканты ходют друг другу поиграть и прочее. “Безмолвная сила” - вполне себе типовой продукт нашего времени в жанре: поливалово от Мальмстина, пауэр-начинка от Helloween, Stratovarius, Edguy + прог от экс-«Охотника» ДС Купера, ну и хардовые ходы а-ля Rainbow и т.п.
Местами немного ярости добавляет Primal Fear-овское прошлое Алекса Бейродта. Ничего оригинального вы тут не услышите. А можно ли чего-то ну просто неведомое доселе сыграть в жанре, в котором к концу 80-х было сыграно 90%? Вот и я так думаю...
Все-таки у Купера отличный голос, а Бейродт отменный гитарист (которому сниться, что он если уж не Мальмстин, то уж точно Импеллитери). Остальные участники – поверьте, тоже умеют играть. Титульный боевик «Walk the Earth» - определенно хит. «Goodbye My Ghost» и «The Child Within» ничуть не хуже. Масса приятностей: то акустика отлично сыграет, то клавишные...
В общем - крепкий, толковый релиз, не претендующий на сокровенные места в ваших сердцах, но способный вполне помочь приятно скоротать время до релиза какой-либо любимой команды в жанре. |

"Walk The Earth" - первый прослушанный мной альбом Silent Force, и, должен сказать, я сильно разочарован, так что слушать остальные опусы этой группы у меня отпало всякое желание. Про группу я узнал давно, но познакомиться с их работами до сих пор не доводилось. Известна эта команда прежде всего тем, что в ней играет гитарист Alex Beyrodt (Sinner, Primal Fear) и поёт DC Cooper (ex-Royal Hunt). К плюсам можно отнести неплохую обложку диска, качественную запись и техничность музыкантов. Дальше идут сплошные минусы. Продолжительность диска приличная, а разнообразия никакого, все песни мало того, что похожи друг на друга, так ещё и скучные. Голос Cooper'а довольно приятен, но с настроением песен он совершенно не гармонирует. А Beyrodt почти каждые две минуты пытается доказать, что он гитарист-виртуоз, включая в песни совершенно не в тему сложные гитарные запилы. Ну и окончательно убил меня бонус-видео-трек. Ладно бы, что музыканты записали не собственную песню, а кавер-версию всем известной "You've Got Another Thing Comin", но они настолько отвратительно исполнили эту песню... Правда, отдать им должное, на сцене они держатся уверенно, и энергия так и хлещет. Вот к этой бы энергии и задору композиторский талант, тогда, пожалуй, что-нибудь и вышло. А пока только 3. |
